I SIMPLY had to share with you what Denver Democrat of the Daily Kos shared with the Daily Kos Community. It’s not only a twist in the average logic concerning one Pat Buchanan (((coughracist))), but an inspired piece of writing. Check the swipe below:
by Denver Democrat:
Buchanan is rightly loathed by many progressives. Yet, he has always been an independent voice on the right who has been an enemy of the Neocons and one of the few, hardore dissenters on Neocon war mongering.
Today, he writes that Obama got it right on Iran.:
The money quote:
Nevertheless, Obama, with his outstretched hand, his message to Iran on its national day, his admission that the United States had a hand in the 1953 coup in Tehran, his assurances that we recognize Iran’s right to nuclear power, succeeded. He stripped the Ayatollah and Ahmadinejad of their clinching argument—that America is out to destroy Iran and they are indispensable to Iran’s defense.
Events are yet to play out in Iraq, but this makes sense to me.
Pat’s not my favorite Wingnut, but good ideas come from bad people. The Right wing is divided on Iran, and in this case, Buchanan is on the correct side of the argument.
Oh crap, a nice post about Pat Buchanan makes it to the recommended list on DailyKos. WTF?? What will Morning Joe say? Mica??? Joe?
To expand on the theme, the Right wing doesn’t know what to do with Iran. Many openly hoped for an Ahmadinejad victory. Others, while not going that extreme, essentially were of the view that it didn’t really matter, that Mousavi was a “kinder, gentler” version of Ahmadinejad. The message being: Iran is the enemy, get ready for war.
The sight of hundreds of thousands of Iranians openly defying the regime has left certain portions of the right in a quandry: on the one hand they see something that sure as hell looks like Democracy in action, on the other hand they have long ago decided that Iran was the ENEMY and NEEDED TO BE ATTACKED. The dissonance is wonderful.
To be clear, we progressives don’t know how things will shake out either. Maybe Ahmadinejad will slaughter thousands and Iran will be a worse threat than before.
Or maybe the whole “Axis of Evil” was an oversimplification by Bush and the Neocons, as was most of their foreign policy over the past eight years. It’s not as easy as “us versus them”… “with us or against us.” There are shades of gray… millions of people on the fences. Win them over with your argument, don’t try to force them over with your bombs. — by Denver Democrat

So I got a lot of positive feedback for this take on Drake’s “Best I Ever Had”. Unfortunately there was a bit of a misunderstanding on a personal note and I decided it best to take the song down.
Lucky me cooler heads prevailed and eventually the song was embraced by folks who previously thought it insulting. SO go to http://www.myspace.com/wafeek and check out “Fill in the Blank”. I suppose I couldn’t say it any better than the wise words of one woman:
“let people think wat they want bout w.e they want whatevvvuh its ur music brothuh!”– Buke

I’m guilty of my fair share of shots at the expense of Mike Tyson, look no further than a few posts below, but no one deserves to lose a child. God bless the dead. swiped from AP:
The 4-year-old daughter of former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson died Tuesday, a day after what police called a “tragic accident” in her home. Phoenix police spokesman Andy Hill said Exodus Tyson was pronounced dead in a hospital just before noon.
Police said the girl was playing on a treadmill Monday in her central Phoenix home when her head apparently slipped inside a cord hanging under the console.
Exodus’ 7-year-old brother found her and alerted his mother. Responding officers and firefighters performed CPR on Exodus as they took her to the hospital, where she had been listed in critical condition since Monday.
Tyson was in Las Vegas at the time of the accident and flew to Phoenix on Monday.
Cynthia Schwartz, a spokeswoman for Tyson, said the family would release a statement Tuesday evening. They had not yet made any funeral arrangements, she said.
Rest in Peace.
